Map loading times is not a issue related to connection speed (im from Argentina and play at NA with 200ms wich is more than the ping you should have to EU) so if i load fast enough from here to the server, you should not have any problem. any ssd will do the trick, but a fast HDD can do it too. I belive if you have a decent amount of ram, at least 4 GB and a fast enough Disk drive it will load very fast. I currently use a much more powerfull rig i5 3570k, 32GB of DDR3, R9 280x 3GB, SSD (i run everything on max settings) i load the map before the countdown starts. So thats how i realized how important was the hard disk drive Speed for the map load speed. Then i put again the game at the drive it was originally, the game once again loaded the map BEFORE the count down start. With the unchanged computer and operating system (and with the vanilla game with exact same settings, the game loaded AFTER countdown ends (after the actual battle started) my WoT game was around 25 fps (my PC back then was a Pentium IV , 4 GB DDR2 Ram & nVidia Gforce 6600 GT 128mb ) with all settings at low, besides draw distance.īUT with that rig, i used to load the map before the countdown starts.Ī certain day, trying to make some room at my main drive, i changed the game location (i installed it on a secondary drive), i put it on a drive wich was larger but slower instead of 7200 rpm HDD, it was 5400rpm HDD, I still remember, when i had my previous rig. This is true for WoT and WoWP, and seems similar at WoWS. This load battle times, are directly afected by the computer you use, and the hard disk speed.
